Borash Veterinary Clinic

Internal Medicine

The doctors and staff at Borash Veterinary Clinic are excited to provide specialty services to your pets, including the diagnosis and treatment of dermatological and allergy-related issues. We're also thrilled to offer laser therapy, which can enhance healing and decrease pain caused by a myriad of causes.

Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy is a great tool that assists in the healing process of wounds, orthopedic injuries, arthritis, post-surgical pain, inflammation, and more. The doctors at Borash Veterinary Clinic are highly trained to use this advanced therapeutic tool, which promotes faster healing time, decreases pain, improves circulation, and reduces inflammation.

This treatment is completely safe, painless, and non-invasive.

Dermatology

Conditions of the skin, hair, and nails can be extremely irritating and uncomfortable. We want to provide your pet with relief as soon as possible!

The doctors at Borash Veterinary Clinic are highly trained in the diagnosis and treatment of dermatological conditions. Our medical team is here to provide relief for chronic skin and ear infections, contact and food allergens, parasite infections, fungal infections, and skin cancer.

Dermatological issues are primarily caused by parasites, allergens, infectious diseases, and endocrine disorders. Based on your pet's symptoms, we may take skin scrapings, ear and skin cytologies, or bacterial and fungal cultures. These tests can be quickly and conveniently processed at our in-house lab so we can begin controlling the allergen.

Allergy Testing

Pets develop allergies just like humans. Your pet may be allergic to grass, pollen, or certain protein sources, to name a few. Common signs of allergic reactions include scratching, chewing, vomiting, diarrhea, ear infections, hair loss, and hot spots. If you observe any of these signs in your pet, please let us know right away so we can provide your pet with timely relief.

We test for allergens with a blood sample. The results will inform us of what substance(s) to which your pet is reacting. Additional testing or dietary changes may also be necessary.
